2. CHALLENGE PERIOD
Submission period: November 16, 2026, 9:00 AM to December 18, 2026, 5:00 PM (Europe/Paris time). Judging period: December 19, 2026 to January 8, 2027. Winners will be announced during the week of January 11, 2027.
3. ELIGIBILITY
- Participants must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age of majority in their country of residence, and currently enrolled in a higher-education institution. Proof of enrollment will be requested before any prize is awarded.
- Open worldwide, except in countries or regions where participation is prohibited by law or subject to international sanctions (Devpost standard exceptions).
- Teams of 2 to 4 members. Each participant may join only one team.
- Companies and organizations may not participate.
- Employees of the Organizer, judges, and members of their immediate families are not eligible for prizes.
4. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- Projects must be created during the submission period. Pre-existing libraries, templates and open-source components are allowed if declared.
- Projects must comply with the Equal Access AI Policy described in the Submission Requirements.
- Projects must not use personal data of third parties without a valid legal basis. Synthetic or public data is strongly recommended.
- Projects must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights or contain illegal, offensive or harmful content.
5. JUDGING
Eligible submissions will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the Organizer, on the following criteria:
- Business value and time saved: 25%
- Human judgment by design: 20%
- Agent design and reliability: 20%
- Frugality and accessibility: 15%
- User experience: 10%
- Documentation and responsible AI: 10%
The jury's decisions are final. Judges may request a live demo or additional information from any team.
6. PRIZES
- Grand Prize: 600 EUR
- Runner-up: 250 EUR
- Critical Thinking by Design Award: 150 EUR
A team may win only one prize. Prizes are paid to the team, by bank transfer, within 60 days after the announcement of the winners, subject to proof of eligibility. Winners are responsible for distributing the prize among team members and for any taxes applicable in their country. The Organizer reserves the right not to award a prize if no submission meets the minimum requirements.
7. DISQUALIFICATION
The Organizer may disqualify any team that breaches these rules, including undeclared use of paid AI models, a false AI Disclosure Statement, plagiarism, or submission after the deadline.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Teams retain full ownership of their projects. By submitting, each team grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and present the project, its name, video and description for educational and communication purposes.
9. PERSONAL DATA
Personal data collected for registration and prize payment is processed by the Organizer in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), solely for the organization of the challenge. Participants may exercise their rights by contacting s.salem1@hetic.fr
10. CHANGES AND CANCELLATION
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the challenge in case of force majeure or any circumstance beyond its control. Any change will be published on this page.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These rules are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of [Paris].
